Market-leading lubricant analyses

OELCHECK is the leading laboratory for lubricant and operating fluid analyses in Europe. Our oil analytics lab in Brannenburg is state-of-the-art. We developed many of the test devices used to analyse your samples in collaboration with the lab equipment manufacturers and geared them towards the specific requirements involved in the investigation of samples, which can be highly viscous or resemble a paste. An experienced team of chemists and laboratory technicians operate over 100 different pieces of analysis equipment in our lab, investigating up to 2,000 lubricant and operating fluid samples each day.

First-class information technology (IT)

"LabSoft" – lab management software

The company's in-house IT department developed a complex, module-based lab information and management system (LIMS). This allows new test methods or additional devices to be integrated easily. The values recorded in our lab are immediately made available on screen for evaluation by our tribologists and are shown in the lab reports. The results of all lab investigations, lab reports and documents sent to us alongside the samples are managed in a single comprehensive SQL database. The relevant customer-specific data can be viewed or accessed at any time using a password-protected log-in at www.lab.report.

"SampleRating" – sample diagnostics software

The "SampleRating" program was developed for OELCHECK tribologists, who comment on each individual sample. As well as values, diagrams, photos and information forms for the sample in question, their component-specific warning and limit values and comparative fresh oil values can be viewed. Samples which have previously been analysed for the same aggregate are also displayed as a trend with values and graphics. This allows the experienced tribologist to detect deviations and their causes quickly and provide a comprehensive assessment and recommendation. Should issues occur, our Brannenburg IT support team can immediately eliminate all disruptions to the programs directly.

Every process in our oil analytics lab is integrated into quality management and environmental management systems. OELCHECK GmbH has been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1995 and DIN EN ISO 14001 since 2001. DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 accreditation has been awarded to the OELCHECK lab for a number of test methods since 2009.
